After a while away I am pleased to say that this will be the new home of the BWA Fans forum.
Enjoy

Promotion for or against

Post  Gibbo on Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:02 pm

Was talking about this one with Mr Costelow while watching the reserves last night. Personally there are pro's and cons either way.

For Relegation
- Less travelling
- Possibly more local derbies = possible higher attendance
- Keep a competitive squad a good run in The F.A Vase is perceivable, along with a good league position would increase attendances
- For a change we would be looking at mid table table obscurity and stability at the worst rather than the bottom two like the last 2 seasons
- A summer not waiting for a deadline date for a reprieve or not as the case maybe
- Maybe as a whole the club need to take a step back before we can move forward again.

Against Relegation
- I've watched this level for 16+ years and have experienced some of the ground standards and the low attendances in the past.
- Struggle in the league below and we'll get nowhere near the attendances we are getting now
- Want to see the team playing at the highest level possible
- With possibility of new faces on the board and new ideas we may survive in The Evo Stik (Not that the existing board are not exhausting every avenue to provide this at present)
-We have a good rapport with a lot of clubs at this level who respect our away support and the visits to a lot of our friends would be missed.

I agree with you on this one Kev.
We obviously want to play at the highest level possible but we will just be in the same position next year. We only escaped relegation last year due to league re structuring and have not been at the races again this year.
In my personal opinion if you finish in the relegation zone you deserve to go down (maybe not a popular decision with many)
Rules is Rules though :( :( :(

No use to me, the nearest game is Rocester, and I have no idea how to get there. :(

Yes your right.
I know it's a step backwards but sometimes you need to do it to more forward. Let's hope the club stick by Calky if we do go down and let him attempt to re build us a new better future
