Shepshed Dynamo v Boldmere St Michaels Preview

Post  Gibbo on Sat Aug 24, 2013 9:28 am

Boldmere St Michaels are the visitors to The Dovecote Stadium in the Midland Football Alliance K-0 3pm in an action packed weekend for all after this a Charity match close to a lot of Shepshed folks hearts The Danny Rose memorial game on Sunday and then a little matter of K-O 3pm away on Bank Holiday Monday.

Boldmere nicknamed the Mikes visit The Dovecote Stadium not for the first time they are currently 10th in the table after playing 4 winning 2 losing 2 on 6 points scoring 9 conceding 10. Their results this season so far are;

MFA Dunkirk Away lost 3-2
MFA Coventry Sphinx Home won 3-2
MFA Continental Star Home won 3-2
MFA AFC Wulfrunians Away Lost 4-2
FAC Tipton Town Away lost 2-0

As mentioned this is not the first time the two teams have met in fact we have met in some shape or form 7 times before;

The earleist was under Shepshed Charterhouse on 26th September 1987 at Boldmere in the FA Cup 2nd qual Round which SCFC won 2-1

From all the games we have met under Dynamo I am only missing the home game in 1993/94 in the Skol Midland Combination

The Other results were;

Midland Combination Away 4/12/93 loat 4-0
Both clubs became founder members of the then Interlink Midland Football Alliance
4/4/95 Home 0-0
15/4/95 Away won 2-1
9/3/96 (Boldmere's last visit to the Dovecote) 0-0
23/2/96 Away won 4-1 goals from Shane Riddell (2), Dave King and Chris Parkins

Boldmere will be in Yellow Shirts and Blue shorts tomorrow.

Lets hope we can extend our run of victories tomorrow against a side who have won two and lost two but pushed hard in every game. An entertaining game ahead we slipped to 5th last weekend due to the fact Highgate took on the Uni on Saturday but looking at the league table we are the 2nd highest goalscorers and conceded the least in the division.

Hope to see as many at The Dovecote I suppose we may:Laughing: have to stay slightly sober as it's BWA supporter Lucy's birthday party at night time. It would be good to keep the confidence high before we go to on Monday.
